R1 offers dual band operation and accessories to expand the radio's functions including XL batteries, mag mount, and long-range antennas. Included with the package are RDH16 UHF or R1 Dual Band Digital/Analog Handheld Radio, H42 Behind the Head Headset, and Radio-to-Headset Coil Cord. Both VHF/UHF business band radios and UHF business band radios are compatible with R1 and RDH-16U respectively.
